Recently Veeam made the white paper VBO v5 available for download from the official website. It is updated to reflect the latest features and enhancements shipping with Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 (VBO). Most notably the extended support to protect and recover Microsoft Teams along with Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and OneNote. It is worth mentioning the VBO works with latest Microsoft APIs and requires no agents install for any on-premises or cloud instances. It has the ability to run anywhere, in any cloud and still backup to any location on-premises and the cloud.

The white paper aims at providing and sharing the best practices matured with Veeam customers of all size and industry. From general deployment types and recommendations to operational guidelines, configuration maximums and details assisting with storage sizing and future growth. This new version also shares details about Service Providers offering Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 with a Backup as a Service formula (BaaS). A new and improved formula for helping sizing with both the item level and snapshot based retention policy types in VBO. Last but not least session history and Veeam Explorers auditing and report who has done what, when and where.
